Two silver medals

Kyle participated in his first Taekwondo competition today. The 8th Southern California Open Taekwondo Championship held at Whittier High School. The kids were first judged on their form then at sparring. Kyle did very well and got second place in both.

Earth Day

Trying to do my part by:

• using reusable grocery bags


• recycling cans and bottles (the money is donated to a special fund at work for animals in need)


• turning off the water while brushing my teeth


• buying recycled items

I wouldn't consider myself a "green freak", but I care about the future of our planet. Our children and grandchildren will be living on it, afterall.

Ernie took Kyle up to Big Bear today while I did some much needed catching up around the house.

Mission accomplished! Ernie and Kyle got to spend some quality time together and the house is back in order, even if only for a couple of days.

I like roses. Can you tell? Actually, they are one of the few plants that do well in my back yard/patio because I get alot of sun and heat. I have to change out most of my "fillers" seasonally, but I can always rely on my roses for beautiful springtime blooms.
