With the heat wave we had, I'm surprised that I still have any live plants to blog about. I do, and here are a couple of the stars that are still growing strong.
Next time I'm using cages.

I'm still amazed at how fast everything is growing in the garden. We've already harvested 4 good sized zucchini, the corn are almost ready and we're going to have tomatoes galore! If you live nearby, get ready to share in the wealth :)

Today was Kyle's 11th birthday and with his saved + birthday money combined, he decided he wanted to get a mouse. I can't believe we went along with it, but we did and ta-da, meet Domino...
I guess he's kind of cute, but I just hope he doesn't escape or accidentally get let out of his cage. That would not be good.

Kyle recorded the Pledge of Allegiance today at a local radio station (KSGN). The station plays the pledge every morning in support of the US soldiers serving in the military and Kyle's clip will be airing sometime in the next few weeks. He did a really good job and we can't wait to hear it!

Our very first vegetable! It looks ready, but I don't know when I should pick it. I guess I'd better do some research...lol.
