We decided to go for a drive to the beach today. We left mid-day so it wasn't a swimsuit-get all wet type of visit, but Kyle had fun playing in the sand and running from the waves.
*The sky wasn't as clear as it normally would be due to the fires, but it was a nice change of temperature.
Kyle found this little guy in our backyard/patio and wanted to keep it as a pet.

Kyle turned the big 1-0 today. I can't believe how fast the years have gone by. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday we brought him home and started the new chapter in our lives.
Every Friday this month, IBC is hosting a community movie night. Last night's movie was The Apple Dumpling Gang. I don't think the kids were very interested in the movie, but they had a fun time playing and eating cotton candy and popcorn. The next movies will be Bolt, Ratatouille and Chariots of Fire.
Today was the first day of the 2009/2010 school year. I can't believe Kyle is already in the fourth grade and next week is his birthday! Where does the time go?
